You most certainly under-promise and over-deliver!
Dr. FRANS COETSEE:
You most certainly under-promise and over-deliver! This is a business principle I greatly admire, by the way.
The machine arrived yesterday already, at about lunchtime. I got this frantic call from my wife at home, a big truck has just pulled into our driveway and she doesn’t expect any deliveries. She almost sent it away again, when Dylan, who still had one more day of holiday, spotted the name Kanon on the delivery slip. He promptly did two things at once. He jumped out of his skin with excitement and then threw himself in front of the truck to prevent it from leaving. J Well, not quite, he told the truck driver to ignore his mother and start offloading!
Dylan and I put the thing together as soon as I got home (hard to say who was more excited!) and we started facing Kanon balls…with mixed results and lots of laughter. Wow, what fun! Even Mom had to face a couple of fast inswingers! Dylan batted until I couldn’t see him in the dark anymore and he reluctantly had to put his beloved Kanon away for the night. First day at school today and I know where his mind will be, not on the maths! Could I sue you people if he fails Grade 9, I wonder?
Cornwall Cricket Board
Endorse Kanon Machine
Timothy Marrion:
Kanon machines are used in
Cornwall by all the junior county representative squads and District
Development Squads for winter indoor coaching sessions. The Kanon
is used mainly for fielding drills and grooving children through a
batting shot. The Kanon is so versatile it can be used for ground
fielding, high catching, slip catching, front foot shots and back
foot shots to name a few.
Altogether a great new machine to help and assist coaches with what
they all want to do and improve children at cricket. Finally,
Cornwall Cricket Board fully endorse the Kanon machine and recommend
it for cricket sessions.
Essential Part of
Country Coaching!
Peter Bolland - Chairman, Cornwall Association of Cricket Coaches
We find the Kanon Ball machine an essential part of our county coaching equipment. It is ideal for grooving batting as the machine is particularly accurate. We have 12 machines at different locations in Cornwall and our junior age groups find it particularly useful. We use red slazballs and yellow tennis in the same machine to play two different strokes and we even use two machines at the same time to practice a front foot and a back foot shot together, getting the footwork going. We use them for fielding drills and as the server in the many indoor games that we play throughout the winter.
Kanon Machines Well Used
in Newcastle Upon Tyne
Tony Robson - Sports Development Officer
We have had 3 Kanon machines for the past year and been very pleased
with them indeed. They all get really well used and enhance our
cricket programme here in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Great for Balance and Technique!
Wasim Khan - former county cricketer
I found the Kanon bowling machine fantastic to face. The fact that
you could work on balance and technique was a good experience,
particularly taking into account its consistency, which is a major
factor with bowling machines. It also allows youngster to learn and
groove shots using balls that are not going to potentially hurt
them.
"Awesome"
I had my first opportunity to use my Kanon last evening (was able to
use the gymnasium at my church) and it is really great – I must have
faced 500 deliveries! I love how you can quickly change positions
(work on leg side shots, then make the quick adjustment to just
outside off-stump). I haven’t even yet tried the spin attachment or
the variable oscillator. I should have no excuses for not scoring
runs next season!
Thanks for all the help in getting it here to the US. It was
definitely worth the wait!!
"Enjoying
the different features"
Brentt Murray, South Africa Your machine is being put through its paces by my 11
year old son on a daily basis. He is really enjoying the different
features especially the swing action, which I am sure will help him
in the action cricket. The youngsters can really move the indoor
ball
